Landscapes from sailing the Komodo Islands

I visited the Komodo islands in Eastern Indonesia this month. We flew to Labuan Bajo and boarded an Indonesian style yacht, called a Phinisi, to tour the islands.

A family trip, we had a fantastic time sailing. I highly recommend the Augustine Phinisi we sailed with. It’s an excellent boat, and the crew was exceptional.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to do some landscape photography. It was nice to finally fit some in between all the hiking, snorkelling, chilling out and eating.

The islands are strikingly beautiful.

There is a small sandbar of white sand that is above the surf at lower tides.

It is as pretty as it looks.
