Sunda Kelapa Street Photography walk

Sunda Kelapa has long been a favourite of photographers in Jakarta for its mix of activity, throwback boats and interesting characters. There are plenty of posts of the place here too.

So it was a good place for a few friends to go for a Sunday afternoon photo walk. For me it was the first time taking street photos in two years, with the pandemic making it unwise to get close to people, and masked randoms not really being my preferred subject.

The second part of our walk was through a village where we found some guys racing pigeons, and the finale of a bird song competition. Who knew that was going on North Jakarta late on a Sunday afternoon.
